Look what's waiting to be made by YOU

This will be one of the Mother's Day Cards I offer at my Card Buffet this weekend.

I love the colors, the style is perfect for any loving Mom.  I sent my card off to my Mama at the beginning of the week.  I miss her, she is too far away.

Dawn Olchefske inspired me to make this card. I love Dawn's style!
View from the side.  I used Stampin' Write Markers to color the images.
Bordering on Romance is my favorite stamp set from the 2012 Occasions Mini.  You like it - you need to rush, it is only available till Monday, April 30th, 2012.  Call me or send me an e-mail, or just go to my online store to place your order.
Time to go, hockey game is on soon.

Hugs,

Christine

Hope you like the first card, I will be posting one more later this week.

To confirm your spot at the April Card Buffet, just give me a call or send me an e-mail.

Q & A - April 2012

 Q&A

Q: I’ve seen some cards with fancy folds made using the Labels Framelits. How do you do that?

Fancy Framelits Fold

A: The new Hearts and Labels Framelits Dies for the Big Shot have been a huge hit! There are so
many great ways to use them, besides the obvious layered frames. You can use them to cut edges
of cards into shapes, make window cards, make cards with fancy folds, and so much more! One of
my favourite fancy folds cards is a Z-Fold card. It’s extra fun because of a cut with the Label Framelits that makes the main image flip to the inside when you open the card!

Here’s how you can make this fun Z-Fold Flip card:

Fancy Framelits Folds

Step 1: Cut a piece of 8-1/2” card stock in half to get a 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” card body. Score at
4-1/4” along the 8-1/2” side to create the folded card. Next, fold the front of the card in
half. You can do this by folding the edge of the card back towards the fold of the card or by
scoring first at 2-1/8” and then folding the edge of the card back towards the fold of the
card.

Step 2: Turn the Multipurpose Platform to Tab 2 and place it onto the Big Shot with a Cutting
Pad on it. Unfold the card body you previously scored. Place a Label Framelits (the 3rd largest
works well) centered over the fold on the card front. Place the top Cutting Pad only over half
of the Label Framelit so the Cutting Pad edge is lined up with the fold line on the center of
the card front. Carefully hold the sandwich in place and run through the Big Shot. Only the
part of the Framelit with the Cutting Pad over it will be cut.

Step 3: Fold the card and decorate the Framelits section with other Framelits layers and
stamped images. When the card is opened, the image flips to the inside of the card. Use Texture
Impressions Embossing Folders to add embossing to cut Framelits for even more detail and
interest!

Have fun experimenting with this great Z-Fold Flip card using the Framelits Hearts Collection,
too!

Fundraising for ""Erin Vance Memorial Fund"

I have been offline for a few days.  I was busy making cards to fill all orders for my fundraising event to benefit two brave little boys, Liam and Caleb.
Together with Kelly and Ron we were able to sell 70 packs of cards on our commuter buses and at our workplace.  To this date we raised over $500, the exact and final amount will be posted here tomorrow evening after I total up.

I would not have been able to finish it all without the help of my friend Rosemarie, who knows all about butterflies ... she cut them out and picked them apart, 70 x 5.  Thank you!

It's now time to get to bed.  I can't wait to hand out all the packs tomorrow morning.  This was a busy, exciting and very rewarding weekend.

I wish you all a great new week.

Hugs,

Christine
