Dahlia Fold Technique

I am excited to show you two cards I made using the Dahlia Fold Technique.
I love the elegance in this colour combination - Soft Suede, Pool Party and Whisper White. The Glimmer circle in the center feels to me like the icing on a cake.
Organza ribbon and Basic Rhinestones add the bling to this birthday card.  I'd like to know, which card you prefer.
I am looking forward to read your comments.

Tagastic “Thanks”

Three make a set, and here is my third card of my Spice Cake Product Suite series.  The original design is owned by DeAnn Rauzi.

The colour combination is the same as the first two cards.  Pool Party CS (In-Colour 2011-2013) was added as accent piece on the right side.  I used the Scallop Edge Border punch and embellished the trim with Basic Rhinestones.  The sentiment from the Tagastic hostess set is stamped on a 1 ¾” Circle punched in Very Vanilla, set on a 2 3/8” Scallop Circle of silver Glimmer Paper and a 2 ½”Circle of Soft Suede CS.  The circles are mounted on the card using Dimensionals.  In lieu of a ribbon I used a piece of matching Spice Cake DSP.
Supply List:
Stamp Set: Tagastic - Hostess set (122747 C/122745 W, pg 13)
Card Stock: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pool Party
Spice Cake DSP (124003, pg 17, Holiday Mini)
Silver Glimmer Paper (124005, pg 41, Holiday Mini)
Punches: 1 ¾” Circle (119850, pg 212)
2 3/8” Scallop Circle (118874, pg 210)
2 ½”Circle (120906, pg 212)
Scallop Edge Border (119853, pg 211)
Embellishments: Basic Rhinestones (119246, pg 198)
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755, pg 206)
Dimensionals (104430, pg 206)
SNAIL Adhesive (104332, pg 206)

Two make a pair

Here is the second of my pair of fall colours cards:

Used the same techniques, same colours, just added a neutral button with some Linen Thread (104199, pg 194) and the little modified label (Modern Label punch-119849, pg 209).  The sentiment is from the incredibly versatile Teeny Tiny Wished stamp set (115370, pg 157).
Hope you all like it.  Leave me a comment.

Fall is here!

Fall has arrived on our little paradise.  I love the crisp mornings, the fog on the lake, the beautiful colours of falling leaves and much more.

Stampin’Up! One of my favourite products in this year’s Holiday Mini is the
Spice Cake Product Suite (pg 16-18).  It includes gorgeous Designer Series Paper, a beautiful stamp set featuring leaves, as well as matching Designer Fabric and buttons.  This line is just not just perfect for fall, but really for anytime and occasion.

Here is a card using the Gently Falling 2-step stamp set (123804-clear, 123802-wood).  I took Soft Suede card stock for the base of the card, first mat - Very Vanilla and Spice Cake DSP (124003) on top.
I stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla CS in Early Espresso ink.  Then using rock-and-roll technique on Soft Suede ink and More Mustard ink for the inside image, daubed with Champagne Mist (116806) for shimmery detail.  I punched it out with the 2 1/2" Circle punch (120906).  The sentiment is from the With All My Heart set (118623) stamped on Very Vanilla (Large Oval punch – 119855) and mounted on More Mustard (Scallop Oval punch – 119856) and a strip of Soft Suede CS held by 2 gold brads (104337).  A matching piece of Spice Cake Designer Fabric (124066) was used instead of a ribbon.
Let me know if you like my first "fall" card.  Thanks for visiting!

Getting settled in ...

Today I tried to add gadgets to my blog.  I am still amazed that it all works. Thanks to the good coaching I received from Sherry I feel that I am almost settled in ... OMG that sounds so funny!
Tomorrow I will be making cards and share them right here.  Don't forget to come back and check.

Welcome to Stampin with Christine on blog!

This is the day - I am starting to blog.  As I am doing this, I am sitting in my little craft room/house, the heater is running, outside temperature is +6 Celsius right now.  The sun is already peeking through the trees and we are looking forward to yet another beautiful fall day.
